Ofsted’s remit is includes a wide range of services such as state-funded schools, further education and skills providers, early years and childcare settings, independent schools, and children’s social care services like children’s homes and fostering agencies. Ofsted’s regulatory role ensures providers are fit to operate and its inspection role provides information to Parliament, parents, and the public.
