Send / Inclusion
All pupils at Brookfield School have an Education Health & Care plan (EHCP) for SEMH and associated special educational needs (SEN).
Fiona Carver (SENCO) provides support, advice and guidance to all stakeholders and works closely with Provision Leads to ensure that each pupil’s SEN needs are fully met.
Fiona can be contacted for anything related to EHCP’s, Annual reviews or SEND on 01253 886895
SEN Information Report / Local Offer
At Brookfield School many pupils arrive with various needs or gaps in learning.
We support all pupils’ individual needs in many different ways and use a number of intervention methods. These are often identified within a pupil’s EHCP, but may also be offered in response to a particular behaviour or as a result of assessment.
Various Interventions are offered at KS3 and KS4 and cover many areas:
Speech and Language Therapy
As part of our commitment to meeting the diverse needs of our pupils, Brookfield School commission a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to provide a high-quality individualised and specialist learning support service to the young people in school.
Laura works in close collaboration with the SENCO, Provision Leads and the teaching staff to ensure that a holistic approach to supporting all pupil needs are provided.
Access Arrangements, Reasonable Adjustments and Special Consideration
The SENCO is also a qualified Access Arrangements Assessor and works closely with Provision Leads to ensure all needs are met.
All of our pupils have Education, Health and Care Plans. We pride ourselves on involving all professionals and parents/carers in our Annual Reviews with the pupil at the centre. Click here for access to the Parent Voice Form to give feedback.
