PDSI

PDSI (Personal Development, Support & Intervention) is the essential wrap-around provision that supports pupils, families and staff in providing individualised support for every pupil.

PDSI, – Personal development Support and Intervention Is a process developed by Senior Leaders and DSL’s to identify students who may need support/intervention. The Head teacher, Provision Leads, SENCO and Designated Safeguarding Leads meet once a week, to discuss students that are highlighted as requiring support/intervention and develop an action plan of support. This is reviewed weekly. Support may include referrals to specialist services, access to the school counsellor, Speech and Language therapy, referral to neurodevelopmental pathway, emergency EHCP review, or adaptation to timetable or provision. This process allows SLT to share plans with staff who work with the students to also assess and monitor progress. Interventions are shared with parents/carers
